I am a research fellow in the Middle East program at the Quincy Institute for Responsible Statecraft.
I served as a foreign affairs officer at the U.S. State Department’s Office of Near Eastern Affairs in the Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor, before resigning in March 2024 over the Biden administration’s unlawful support for Israel’s atrocities in Gaza.
I am also a senior non-resident fellow at the Arab Center of Washington DC and a non-resident fellow at Rice University’s Baker Institute for Public Policy.
My research focuses on America’s military involvement in the Middle East.
I have done extensive fieldwork in Egypt, Jordan, Morocco, Oman, Saudi Arabia, and Yemen.
